Trouble at Sea: Our Red Sea Dive Trip in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia

The Red Sea is one of the top diving destinations in the world, but Saudi Arabia is a very restrictive country to get into. That alone would have made the trip memorable...but then things went south and the Saudi Coast Guard and a hospital got involved.

Shark Tank Dive

So, we're building unit cohesion on a weekend trip to Busan. By diving with sharks. I mean, really, that's one of those "you've either done it or you haven't" kind of bonding things, right?
The Busan Aquarium: No shark attacks in the last 6 days!
This is the view of spectators from inside the tank.
He's totally friendly once you get to know him...
What's the sign for "Shark behind you?"

Ok, hang loose!
Doesn't also sound much more dangerous to describe them as "sand tiger sharks" rather than "nurse sharks?"

Cherry Blossoms in Gyeong Ju

I heard that there's a cherry blossom festival in Gyeong Ju, several hours drive away. So, Jay, PJ, and I hopped into my car to see if we could find it. The train wasn't an option, since we didn't know where we were going and wouldn't have transportation if we needed it once we got there. The plan is simple: drive until we see cherry blossoms.

This actually turned out to be a long day, and will be the first, last, and only Korean road trip I take in my car because gas is just too expensive off-base. But the public transportation system really does tie most of the country together, so it's kind of win-win.
